a four panel pencil comic. panel 1: a kid in a propeller beanie sits at a desk under an idea lightbulb, a blank page in front of them. a card with an S-like symbol is pinned above the desk, and a window shows clouds. panel 2: the same scene, except the kid has drawn an angular new symbol on the page — and through the window, two dark figures are peering in. panel 3: the kid flees down a road clutching the drawing, chased by the two shadowy figures, their propeller hat flying off. panel 4: cornered, the kid cries "WHO ARE YOU?? WHAT DO YOU WANT?!?" the figures loom and reply: "We are... The Unicode Consortium. Tell us what you call your symbol."
